Code of conduct

Jank should be a fun place to hang out. To that end, we want to foster a friendly and thoughtful comment community.

Before you comment, ask yourself if you are contributing to creating that kind of place. If you seek to entertain, inform, or respectfully express your opinion, we welcome your comment. 

We do not allow attacks on writers, commenters, or other people. No abuse. No spam. If a comment conversation naturally strays off-topic, that’s fine, but deliberate attempts to derail conversations will be removed.

We will not tolerate intolerance of any kind. 

How we moderate comments

We will remove any comment at our discretion.

We will remove comments that contain derogatory or bigoted remarks, or any illegal content, including links to pirated games.

Commenters who post derogatory or bigoted remarks, illegal content, or degrade the commenting experience for other readers and posters, will be permanently banned. We do not give warnings, time-limited suspensions or second chances.

Paying members are subject to the same commenting rules and moderation as everyone else, up to and including their commenting account being banned.

If you see a comment which breaches these community standards, you can use the report button to alert a moderator. Do not respond to trolls: we will remove all replies when deleting an offending comment, and so your post will end up being deleted.

One person, one account. Multiple accounts (“sockpuppets”) are not allowed, and all accounts in question will be banned.
