What you could play this weekend
I spent all my videogamesing time this week painting the hallway. I've colour drenched the walls and skirting boards a pink colour, which in some moments seems to warm up an otherwise windowless part of the flat, and in other moments gives me the sensation of walking through a Mr. Blobby innertube. I think I like it. Please let me now play videogames again.
But what to play? I've chosen three candidates below. Tell us what you're playing in lieu of troubling interior decorating choices in the comments.
Loftia

All the typical crop-tending, home-decorating, and pet-wrangling of yer cosy buildy crafty Stardewy 'em ups, but here nailed to an MMO, with community building projects and next-door players to bring down the house prices by hanging a sign about farts in their front garden. There's no space in my life for a game like this, but I like the ramshackle, islands-in-the-sky, verdant art style.
Faraway

An arcade game about steering a shooting star around the gravitational pull of celestial objects to form constellations and score points. Faraway claims to be a genuine solo project, having been developed by Steph Thirion over more than a decade.
Airframe Ultra

The makers of Rain World return with a 3D hoverbike racer in which high speed traffic-dodging is paired with on-foot fights to the death. It's Smash Bros on a bike; it's multiplayer Akira; it's supremely stylish and Brendy approved, at least based on the demo. I found that same demo coarse and difficult, like eating an old shoe, and I'm very curious whether this finds its audience.
What we're playing
Jonty: I am on holiday, so the closest I will get to gaming is the series of little time-wasters in my phone. I long since lost interest in Wordle but I am, for the first time in my life, getting into Sudoku which I'll attempt to paint as retro cool.
Brendan: Retro cool? Let me tell you about retro cool. This weekend I must choose between PS1-styled fantasy RPG Queen's Domain, PS1-styled dinosaur horror Athanasia, or PS1-styled hoverbike racing Airframe Ultra. I am trapped permanently in 1999.
Graham: I am not trapped. I'm Prison Break season three and I'm trying to break back in to the '90s. I've just bought the Ocarina Of Time remake and if I'm not 13-years-old again by Sunday something has gone terribly wrong.
That's us, but what virtual innertubes are you a-wandering this chilly November weekend? Tell everyone down below, in the internet's best and only comments section.
